Hi everyone,
Some of you asked me whether the two sources requirement for Assignment 1 is an important component of it. What if you would like to tell the story of a single person as narrated by that individual (i.e. have only one source)?
It is an important part of this assignment to tell a story drawing from your interviews with two sources. The idea is to sift through different perspectives of the same story and create a single narrative out of them versus having one person’s narration. With that in mind, you would want to make sure that you choose your story accordingly – you need a story that can be told by two people. There are a lot of great stories out there that could be told from an individual perspective, but that is not the point of the present assignment.
I hope that helps clarify any confusion. Please, let me know if you still have questions about it.
Cheers,
